Card of the Week: The Tower

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow.”
― Lao Tzu

The Tower

The Tower depicts two lightning bolts striking towards the structures core. The tower that once stood tall and assured will quickly crumble from this sudden disruption cast down from a higher power.

“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.”
― Paulo Coelho

Meaning

The Tower is often feared, as it bears the ominous promise of destruction and change, but it is truly the highest blessing.

Perhaps you have grown too comfortable in your "tower". Is it a job where your growth has ceased? Have you fallen back into old habits which do not serve you? Maybe you have ignored difficult truths, or strayed from your true intentions.

You may initially feel lost or upset once you realize the path you had settled into is no longer there for you to lean on. Fear not, for everything you truly need lies within you.

Consider this unexpected change or destruction a chance to finally face what you were once too comfortable to confront or pursue. You have been gifted a wonderful opportunity. Approach it with open eyes, an open heart, and an open mind.
