Acne Scar - Face Mask

What you’ll need:

- 2 Tbs. Honey

- 1 Tbs. Baking Soda

- ½ Tbs. Cinnamon

How to make and use the mask:

Mix all of your ingredients in a small bowl (you don’t have to be precise with your measurements). Let it sit for a few minutes and then apply on your face. Keep it on for 10-15 minutes and then wash off with warm water.

 Why we love it:

With store bought masks you don’t always know what you’re getting, but with this DIY mask, you know exactly what is going on your face and getting absorbed into your skin.

Honey is used in many natural face masks primarily to clear acne, heal scars, and even out skin tone. It has exfoliating properties that help get rid of dead skin cells, as well as, helping with your skin’s healing process.

Baking soda is helpful in managing pH levels but using it too often can dry out the skin. For acne, the baking soda is good for soothing inflammation. It also has anti-bacterial properties that help reduce the reoccurrence of acne.

Cinnamon helps reduce redness in the skin. Its texture also serves as a light exfoliant. It can help your skin’s overall quality and complexion.

We would also recommend using a local honey because it contains local pollen which can help boost your immune system and reduce allergies.
